MAŞUKİYE Village House Waterfall Restaurant
Our town, which borders Sakarya in the East of Izmit, lives in a different beauty in all seasons because it is on the shores of MAŞUKİYE and Sapanca lake and at the foot of the Karatepe peak. Water skiing can be done in Sapanca lake and there is a facility in the area where the Old SEKA Camp is located. Kartepe, which is in a very convenient position in terms of mountain tourism, is in the southeast of Izmit. Its height is 1606 m. When you come to Kuzu Plateau from the road surrounded by pine, beech, linden trees and colorful flowers, it is seen that the fresh air, panoramic view and wild nature merge with each other. Karatepe, which has a different beauty due to the fact that it is one of the few mountains with sea view from our other touristic regions where winter sports are held, has a feature that can be used in summer and winter. Karatepe forests and Kuzu Plateau serve daily tourism and all the needs of those who come are met. Today, Karatepe, which is more suitable for visiting in spring and summer, has become an ideal center for winter sports with its hotels and ski tracks. Kartepe, which is 120 Km from Istanbul, 37 Km from Izmit and 17 Km from Maşukiye, is an attractive center especially with its distance to big centers, the mountain road is always open and all kinds of needs of those who come can be easily met.
Masukiye is a port of refuge where those who are bored with the pressure of city life escape when they have the opportunity.
We organized a day trip here. We didn’t have the opportunity to go up to Kartepe, but we had a nice tiller at Şelale Restaurant, or “Village House”.
As it is known here, bakery dishes are famous such as Tile Trout, Roasting, Cheese, Meatballs and Cheddar Mushroom. At the beginning of the meal, appetizers such as soup or Butter Cheese Honey are served with red bread and then closed with baked dishes and dessert. We ordered them all and ate together, they were all beautiful.
It is my extreme advice to those who want to escape the stress of the city.
