Duomo Square and Church
It is a cathedral located in Lombardy, Italy. With a floor surface area of 11,700 m², St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome is the fourth largest cathedral in Europe after the cathedrals of St. Paul and Seville in London.
It is located in the center of Milan in the Piazza Del Duomo, which it named after him. With a surface area of 11,700 m² and a volume of 440,000 m³, it is the largest in the Italian Republic and the second highest church on the Italian peninsula after St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican with its 45-meter-high main nave.
The construction of the cathedral began in 1386 and was completed in only 500 years.
