Historical Kumkapi tripe shop

The historical Kumkapı tripe was founded in 1958 by Fevzi usta. Fevzi Usta, who retired at the end of the 80s, handed over the place to Recai Usta, who was working as a master at that time. Recai ustada continued to operate the space as if there had been no change of hand since Ogün.

In the historical Kumkapı Tripe, you can still eat Tripe, Trotter, Kelle Paça, Kelle tandır and Kuzu kokoreç in season in the taste of the first days it was founded.

I met Master Recai thanks to my brother Hüseyin. It is my insistent advice to those who fall on the way to Kumkapı and to soup lovers.
