Hello, I’m Erhan Arda. I am a Product Designer and Project Manager in my 50s, living in Switzerland. I grew up in Bakırköy, Istanbul and completed my education at Pilot Cengiz Topel Primary School and Bakırköy High School. I continue my professional career as a Product Designer in a biscuit company in Switzerland. I studied pastry and chocolate in Switzerland and then became a subject at the Food Technician Department of Strickhof wädenswil
I am quite skilled in languages: My mother tongue is Turkish, and I am at C1 – C2 level in German and Swiss German, and B1 – B2 level in Italian and English. Also, I am currently learning Arabic and I am at A2 level for now.
Among my hobbies is playing American Billiards (Pool), I used to participate in billiards tournaments as an amateur in my youth, I came second in Switzerland 2 times in a group, and Switzerland 7 in individual. I have a league. I enjoy collecting chocolates, cakes and cookbooks, and I enjoy photography. My special interest is collecting rare books.
Among my talents and skills , I have the ability to learn new topics quickly, I have an advanced command of Adobe All Programs and MS Office programs, and I design blogs and websites with WordPress. I use my creativity to explore innovations and make digital designs.
As my personality traits, I can count doing my work cleanly and beautifully, finishing the work I start, and constructive conversations among my strengths. My weaknesses are my tendency to not forget when I’m angry and to avoid unnecessary arguments.
My career goals are to develop my knowledge and horizons and to be creative. My personal goals include exploring new places, trying new flavors, and creating a Taste Atlas. My dream is to expand the ‘Ehl-i Lezzet’ community and make it an exemplary food blog.
As my lifestyle, I don’t drink alcohol or smoke and I place great value on good food. I love to travel with my family and friends and do city tours.
My life experiences include being the founder of my own advertising agency and gaining knowledge in various industries by working in the R&D department.
The aim of the ‘Ehl-i-Lezzet’ project is to create a community on gastronomy by bringing together different writers. In the project, we offer content in 6 languages: English, Italian, French and Arabic, especially Turkish and German. Our cultural mission is to promote Turkish cuisine around the world, and to introduce the sine qua non of world cuisine in Turkey.
